Two SCC Teams Top Men's Cross Country State Rankings

A pair of South Coast Conference colleges, Mt. San Antonio at No. 1 and El Camino at No. 2, top the most current 5CTCA men's cross country state rankings. LA Harbor was No. 7 in the top 14.

On the women's side, four SCC teams are among the top 11 in Mt. SAC at #2, LA Harbor #7, El Camino #9, and Chaffey at #11. 

At the Brubaker Invitational Meet hosted at Irvine Regional Park on October 6, two Mt. SAC runners won the individual 5-k women's race and 4-mile men's race. Salvador Capetillo led the Mounties men to the team title with a top meet time of 20:03.8, which was 36 seconds faster than the second place finisher. Six Mt. SAC runners finished among the top 10.

In the women's race, Rebecca Ruiz won the event in a time of 19:08.7. Saddleback won the women's team title with the Mounties grabbing second place.
