SCC Places 16 As 2020-2021 Women's Basketball Scholar-Athletes

Sixteen South Coast Conference players were named to recently released 2020-2021 California Community College Women's Basketball Coaches Association Academic All-State Team.

Rio Hondo College led the conference contingent with five players, followed by Mt. San Antonio with four.

A total of 116 players from 41 colleges made the list, the largest list of honorees ever. Usually the list is distributed at the CCCWBCA's Banquet of Champions during the State Championship Elite Eight Tournament, but the COVID-19 pandemic has canceled any state championship in the sport for this calendar season.

El Camino's Melany Cruz and LBCC's Donavion Husky were two of nine freshmen across the state to maintain a 4.0 GPA during their frosh seasons.
