State #1-ranked Long Beach City College went 5-0 in the round robin schedule and is the top seed at the 2019 South Coast Conference Men's Water Polo Championships at Cerritos College Nov. 7-9.

The Vikings (24-1) are joined by #9-ranked and second seed Mt. San Antonio (17-4, 4-1 in SCC games) and #5-rated but third seed Cerritos (17-12, 3-2) as the trio expects to battle it out for the '19 conference crown.

Long Beach has won 16 straight regular season dual titles and 12 of the last 14 SCC tournament championships (recognized as the true SCC champion). The Vikings used a 13-10 win over Cerritos in the round robin finale on Wednesday to earn the #1 seed. LBCC started the season on a 22-game winning streak that was snapped by nemesis Golden West, 12-7, on Oct. 26.

Another team that has impressed of late is #4 seed El Camino (19-8, 2-3), bringing a 10-game win streak into the tourney.

Chaffey is the #5 seed while Rio Hondo comes into the event as the #6 seed.

Some of the top players featured at this year's tournament is Long Beach goal scorer Vedran Latkovic (72 goals), El Camino and SCC/state leading goals maker Cole Allyn (87 goals), Cerritos goalie Zachary Jenkins (conference and state-best 288 saves), and Mt. San Antonio defensive specialist Justin Wakefield (71 steals).
