Long Beach City College takes a perfect 7-0 record and a 42-game conference-winning streak as the top seed into the 2019 South Coast Conference Women's Water Polo Championship Tournament on Nov. 7-9 at Cerritos College.

The Vikings last lost a conference game on Oct. 7, 2015 against Mt. San Antonio, 7-6. LBCC has won the past four SCC titles and is gunning for its 13th crown in its history. Long Beach (20-5) is ranked #4 in the state top 10 while Cerritos (16-6, 6-1 in SCC play) is rated #8.

Mt. San Antonio (10-9, 5-2) is the third seed while Pasadena City is at #4 after its first-ever above .500 dual round robin conference season (4-3). The Lancers are back in the tournament after having to miss last year after their 2018 season was cut short by injuries.

East Los Angeles, the seventh place team last season, grabbed the #5 seed with a 3-4 conference mark. All three of the Huskies wins were by one goal, two of them in overtime.

El Camino, Chaffey, and Rio Hondo will also participate as the lower seeds in the annual conference tourney.

Some of the top players entering the event are Long Beach and conference-high scorer Jillian Schultz (88 goals), top passer from Cerritos in Amy Cervantes (SCC high 77 assists), defensive performer Sonni Garcia of El Camino (SCC best 68 steals), and Pasadena goalie Jackie Collier, who has 147 saves.
