Pasadena CC Leads South Coast Conference Contingent On 2019 CCCWVCA State Scholar-Athlete List
Sixteen South Coast Conference women's volleyball players, including an amazing 10 alone from Pasadena City College, have been named to the just-released 2019 CCCWVCA State Scholar-Athlete List.
The conference players were part of a record class of state student-athletes making the listing as 128 in total from 28 colleges comprised the large list. Everyone of the academic honored students maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average while playing their intercollegiate sport.
PCC had two of 14 state student-athletes with perfect 4.0 GPAs in graduated outside hitter Janell Currier and freshman libero Saku Yoshioka. The Lancers finished 19-10 overall and were ranked No. 23 on the State Top 25 Final Poll.
Mt. San Antonio had three players make the indoor list and one tabbed to the 2019 Beach Volleyball academic class.
