COMPLETE 2024 SCC SWIM/DIVE CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS

Eric Yeh and Samuel Slezak each won three events and Markus Stegbuchner set a conference record in the 200 breaststroke as Mt. San Antonio College captured its eighth team title in the last nine full seasons at the South Coast Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Championships held April 18-20 at Mt. SAC's Swim Stadium.

It was the program's 12th crown overall, all since 2003.

Yeh and Slezak were the Co-SCC Swimmers of the Year, but it was last year's award winner Stechbuchner who eclipsed a 17-year-old conference record to win the 200 breastroke in 2:02.58. Stechbuchner beat the old mark of Chaffey's Akbar Nasution by just .13 of a second.

Mt. SAC won 12 events overall, including breaking the longest-existing SCC swim record of 27 years by the 200 medley relay team of Luke Pedroche, Stegbuchner, Yeh, and Ray Chun, who won in a time of 1:33.51. That mark passed the old one set by Golden West in 1997 of 1:33.80. The Mounties' four also won the 400 medley relay.

Yeh was huge in the sprints as he won the 100 butterfly (49.58), 100 backstroke (49.81) and 100 freestyle (45.60), missing by .02 of Derek Gibbs' 2000 meet record in that event.

Slezak was strong at distance, picking up his gold medals in the 500 freestyle (4:38.51), 200 freestyle (1:42.77) and 1,650 freestyle (16:19.62).
