Los Angeles Harbor College won its third-ever South Coast Conference South Division men's basketball title, and it's first in nine years, while perennial state power East Los Angeles earned its seventh consecutive North Division championship.

The Seahawks, who shared the 2014 title with two other teams, won their first outright conference championship since 2011. Harbor (24-4 overall) went 9-1 to take first place in the South, only challenged by second-place Cerritos (7-3).

Long Beach, one of three teams to tie for third place at 4-6, handed the Seahawks their only defeat in conference play on Feb. 3, 81-65. However, Harbor twice beat Cerritos in conference play and handed East Los Angeles a rare loss in a SCC crossover game.

East LA (24-3) fought it out with Pasadena City (20-8, 6-2, second place) on Friday in front of a jam-packed PCC Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium crowd and closed out a perfect 8-0 conference run to capture the North title outright in an 88-69 win. The Huskies extended their North winning streak to now 28 games dating back to 2019.
