Mt. San Antonio Men's Swim Gets It Done In Dual Meet Finale--Again

Three years ago, the Mt. San Antonio College men's swim team was tied with Pasadena City and needed a dual meet victory over the Lancers in its season finale to win the 2019 conference dual championship. On Friday, the Mounties faced the same situation, this time tied with Long Beach City in a winner-take-all final meet. Mt. SAC pulled off a finale win again and by the closest of margins in defeating the host Vikings, 139-132, to win the 2022 South Coast Conference dual meet crown at 6-0.

Mt. SAC extended a dual meet conference streak to 17 in a row since 2018.

The Mounties won seven of the 13 events, with freshman Spencer Sorosky leading the way on three event top place finishes. Sorosky won the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events and the 200 individual medley while also taking part on Mt. SAC's 200 medley relay winning squad.

Long Beach (5-1) led early in the meet, 36-6, before Mt. SAC started to pile up the necessary points in subsequent events.

Matthew Neoh helped the Mounties rally by winning the 200 backstroke and 100 butterfly races.
